PWill of Godfrey Sheldon, taken from ancestry tree of John R. Pool "!I Godfrey Sheldon of the Town of Scarborrough alias Blac Poynt Planter aged sixty five or there abouts being of perfect memory doe by these presents* [presents stricken out] make & appoynt my last will & testament in manner & forme following/First I bequeath my soul to god that gave it, my body to the earth from whence it was taken & to bee decently buried all my wordly goods & estate I give as followeth/ I give unto my Elldest sun William Shelden the one halfe of my goods with in doores and with out & the halfe of my lande & houseing forth with to Injoy to him his heyres assignes & the other halfe after my decease I give unto my wife Alse dureing her naturall life both goods land & houseing & after her decease my said Elldest sun William, who I appoynt my execcutor & order him to pay unto his brother John Shelden foure pounds & to each of his sisters tenn shillings & give unto his wife Rebecca Tenn Shillings & unto her brother Samuel Scarlett I give five shillings & I order out of the halfe part of Land houseing & goods I reserve to my selfe & wife the charge of my burying, debts & legacys, above said being payd to confirem the treuth hereof I do here unto subscribe & sett my hand this thirteenth of March 1663/4"
