Killed in Action Feb. 23, 1945 while serving in the Armed Forces in Germany during World War II. According to the Company Commander of Timberwolf Division 415, Regiment 104, Roger died in an attempt to aid a comrade who had fallen from an Army Assault Boat while crossing the Roer River between Aachem and Duren.
