JOHN NEWTON TILtON', born November 22, 1850; married at Fort Fairfield, Aroostook county, Maine, January 2, 1888, Isadore, daughter of Amos and Martha (Putnam) Bishop, born at Fort Fair-field, June 11, 1861; a woman of foreful character, and though her children missed the aid of a father, they never lacked for counsel and guidance; he died September 22, 1899.
