Mary Johnson might be his second wife.
140[5929] John was a brickmaker or bricklayer who resided in several places including Hampton, Haverhill and Salisbury, Mass., Dover and Portsmouth, NH, Newbury,
Rowley and Beverly, Mass. and later in South Carolina, where he died. He appeared in Hampton as early as 1643. When his first child was born in 1652/3 he was in
Haverhill, but he was back in Hampton for the birth of his second child in 1654/5. Two years later he was in Salisbury and evidently never lived in Hampton again.
