HEINZMAN -- MARY March 16, 1912 - April 7, 2012 Passed away on April 7, 2012 among her family in Boulder, CO. She was 100 years old. Mary was a homemaker, wife and mother. She will be fondly remembered for her energy, resolve, independence, thrift and wit. Mary was born March 16, 1912 in Sugar City, CO to George J. Schott and Katherine M. Mueller, the oldest of nine children. In 1923, the family moved to La Junta, CO where Mary later met the love of her life, Marthis L. Heinzman. They were married on December 1, 1930. To their union a son, William G. Heinzman, was born on August 24, 1932. Mary and Marthis, who worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1959. Mary moved to Boulder, CO in 1997 following the death of her husband in 1991. Mary was also preceded in death by her son in 1988. She is survived by a sister, Katherine Hassan of Rushville, NE; three grandchildren, William K. Heinzman and Lisa K. Heinzman-Myers of Boulder, CO, and Robert M. Heinzman of Lee, MA; five great-grandchildren, Katia and Ian Heinzman and Maxx, Benn and Laura Myers, all of Boulder, CO. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at Fairview Cemetery in La Junta. Online condolences may be made at
