Miss Molly Friend, aged 83, resident of the Hoyes community, died last Friday morning, August 15, in the Springfield State hospital near Baltimore where she had been a patient for the past six years.
A native of this county Miss Friend was a daughter of the late Isaiah and Julia Casteel Friend. She is survived by a brother, Benton Friend, of Hoyes.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Hoyes Methodist church of which Miss Friend was a member, Rev. T. M Goff, pastor, officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery.
