John Hatchett settled near Avery’s Church, Amelia Co. Va. and he and his wife Mary had four sons- Abner, Bartley, John and William, and five daughters, Margaret, Ann, Mildred, Elizabeth and Mary. He died in Charlotte County, Va. May 11, 1773, at age of 41. ( It was Mary Neal Hatchett who died on this date. See John Hatchett's Short Narrative for a correction of this statement.) I have no account of his children.
