Notes for Corydon Henry Nichols
VALPARAISO VISITOR -- November 17, 1910 --Corydon Henry Nichols, eldest son of John Henry and Aradalissa Nichols, was born January 11th, 1847, in Sugar Grove, Warren County, PA, where he grew to manhood. After graduating from the home schools he entered the academy at Randolph, New Yrok. But serious illness cut his career short as a student and in the year 1867 he came to the then village of Lincoln, making his home with his uncle, Milton Landon, then later to his present home where he has since resided. Dec. 11, 1878 he was married to Sarah C. Robinson and to this union were born five children, Carl E., Ernest G. living on the home place, and Ruby whose home is in Rich Valley, Alta, Canada, Victor, who is still at home with his parents and Lillian M., a wife and three sons survive him. Father Nichols was a kind and affectionate husband, a devoted father and a citizen endeared and respected among his neighbors and friends. He was an invalid for several years, being afflicted with consumption which gradually sapped away his life. The bereaved companion and children have the sympathy of the entire community.
