Asa shortly became an orphan as his mother died eight days after his birth and his father died in the year of his birth.
According to manuscripts of two descendents, Asa Currier was at the Battle of Bunker Hill. Asa and Rebekah Plumer Currier were the parents of 11 children. After the death of Asa in 1780 Rebekah married Noyes.
James Courier, the last child of Asa and Rebekah, was born in 1781, four months after his father's death, so he, like his father before him, was left fatherless.88
