Notes for Edward Fitz Randolph
Arrived with the Winthrop Fleet in 1630. Settled at Scituate, NJ. From "The Planters of the Commonwealth", Banks, 1930, GPC.

More information on the children is given in Reference 91.

My father (whose grandmother was a Randolph) took his information mostly from church records I believe, including the information about the family in New Jersey. He notes that Edward F. Fitzrandolph was the first FitzRandolph in America; he was a yoeman or farmer. He lived in Scituate, north of the town of Plymouth, where he built a house in 1636. He moved to Barnstable on Cape Cod in 1639, where records show he was a juryman. He is listed as one of those able to bear arms in New Plymouth in 1643. He sold his house and then moved to West Barstable in about 1649. In 1669 he moved his family to Piscataway. New Jersey.402
