John Henry Walsh was born about 1836, probably at Windsor, Nova Scotia. He married Laleah Crowe in 1860 in Aylesford, (See birth record for Henry Almon Walsh—Public Archives #122, 1865)
According to Henry Almon Walsh’ s birth record, John Henry Walsh was an Innkeeper. He and his wife had five children before his death. He died before 1874, probably at Aylesford, although we have been unable to locate any death record for him, nor have we been able to locate a birth record, nor a marriage record for him. aside from the birth record of Henry Almon Walsh. Perhaps birth records for his other children are on file at the Public Archives and would give additional information. Also school and church records might give additional information, as well as the census of 1871. Mrs. Tulloch checked the 1871 census for the Aylesford area and could find no reference to any Walsh or Welch family. She also checked the Dalhousie Area with negative results. She checked the Kings county Death Records 1864-1877, and could not find any death recorded for John H, Walsh. At the Kentville Court House, Records at probate Court, she could find no listing for John H. Walsh.1481
