Catharine (Carin) Friend, born 1661, who married Olof (William) Dalbo died at Raccoon Creek in 1721, the mother of nine children. She was a sister of Johannes (John) Friend and the daughter of Nils Larsson Friend and Anna Andersdotter. She and five of her children died between April 16, 1721 and May 31, 1721, probably all from the smallpox epidemic that struck
the area along the Delaware that year.
